Jacob Dupre

Jacob Dupre is a fifth generation musician and composer. He has performed and recorded with renowned artists such as Addison Agen (The Voice, 2017), Christiana Danielle (The Voice, 2018), Paul Gilbert, Kris Kristofferson, Kenny Rogers, and Ray Benson. Jacob has also played with legendary jazz performers and composers such as Bill Watrous, Peter Erskine, John Fedchock, Bob Sheppard, Dennis Mackrel, Butch Miles, Bill Kirchner, the Dave Rivello Ensemble, and Bill Holeman. In 2017, Jacob joined the Glenn Miller Orchestra on piano and performed in both the U.S. and Japan. He has performed at venues and festivals such as Orchard Hall, The Blue Note, and the Cotton Club (all in Tokyo), Billboard Live in Osaka, SXSW, the Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival, and in Kodak Hall as guest soloist with the Eastman Wind Ensemble. In addition to his career as a musician and educator, Jacob has composed, arranged, and produced his own music for various projects including animations, films, music videos, jingles/ads, live shows, and musical/theater productions. Jacob's scores include short films such as Ilyanica, Dinner Prayer, and The There. His score for the short film The There has been featured in over a dozen film festivals across the U.S. Jacob is the keyboard artist for Sweetwater, the largest online music retailer in the U.S. As keyboard artist, Jacob creates entertaining and informative musical content for Sweetwater's social channels and is a regular author for Sweetwater's online blog, InSync, and Sweetnotes Magazine.

Jacob Dupre is a fifth generation musician and content creator from Baton Rouge, LA. He earned degrees in jazz piano performance from the Eastman School of Music and the University of Texas at Austin. He has performed, collaborated, and recorded with artists such as Zack Graybeal (ZackGrooves), Lynette Williams (Childish Gambino, will.I.iam), Greyson Nekrutman, Addison Agen (The Voice, 2017), Paul Gilbert (Mr. Big, Racer X), Steve Vai, Kris Myers (Umphrey's McGee), Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), and Lisa Bella Donna. He has performed with jazz artists and ensembles such as Bill Watrous, Peter Erskine, John Fedchock, Dennis Mackrel, Butch Miles, the Dave Rivello Ensemble, and the 1940s big band the Glenn Miller Orchestra whom he toured with on piano throughout the U.S. and Japan. In 2022, he performed with the Led Zeppelin super group the “Soul Of Zeppelin” along with vocalist Marcus Scott (Tower of Power) and Nick D’Virgilio (Genesis, Tears for Fears). As a content creator, Jacob makes video and written content for various online platforms which have garnered millions of views on his pages and for Sweetwater, the largest online music and pro audio retailer in the U.S. In 2023, Jacob toured and recorded with Everything Yes, a jazz fusion band featuring Zack (ZackGrooves) and Nathan Graybeal (Saxologic).
